Having children is massively rewarding ...Yes it is. Having children is massively rewarding and there are many aspects of rearing children that reflect on one's own image, sense of competence (making sure you're a 'good' dad/mum) and ego. Granted there's a lot of 'give' that parents do when rearing children.
